Upfront’s Rhobust^® technology provides plant processors with a method to isolate pure soluble proteins with excellent nutritional and functional properties. The isolated proteins are devoid of fat, carbohydrate, minerals and in most cases the proteins are tasteless and suitable for use in high-value food applications.

The volume of fluid handled in the plant processing industry is substantial, but the soluble protein suitable for capture by the Rhobust® technology represents only a small fraction of the total protein present. However, capturing only a few percent of the plant protein present can typically generate very significant value due to the substantial process volumes involved.
